What is Installer.com?
Selling a product is the easy part. Installing it is where orders stall. Installer.com runs everything that happens after the sale: finding the right contractor, booking the visit, guiding the work on site, documenting it, and paying everyone involved.
It covers installation trades, from EV chargers, solar panels, heat pumps and battery storage to kitchens, bathrooms, roofs and windows.
Who uses it
Brands and retailers sell a product that needs installing. They send the order into Installer.com and follow it to completion without running a field organisation of their own. On a workflow step they are the Operator.
Contractors are the installer companies. They receive orders that match their installation types and their service area, then accept, schedule and complete the work in the installer app. On a workflow step they are the Installer.
Clients are the customers at the address. They confirm booking times, confirm the offers addressed to them, and follow progress in the client portal.
What the platform does
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
| Intake | The order arrives from a webform, an integration, the API, or by hand in the routing app. |
| Dispatching | The order is offered to contractors until one accepts. |
| Booking | A visit is scheduled with the client. |
| Field work | The installer works through the steps and records what was done. |
| Documentation | Files, images, text and video are attached to the order. |
| Payment | The customer pays, and each party is paid their share. See Payments end to end. |
Every one of those stages is a step in a workflow you control. See How an order moves through the platform.
