You can cancel an order that is no longer needed or cannot be completed, ensuring your order list remains accurate. Note that order cancellation permissions are now explicitly tied to your current role. Order creators can now cancel orders if their organization is the source router for the order. This guide shows you how to cancel an order and provide a reason.

Cancel an order

You can cancel an order either from the order details page or directly from the workflow timeline.

Cancel from the Order Details Page

  1. Click Orders in the sidebar.

  3. Click Job actions on the order details page.
  4. From the dropdown menu, click Cancel job.
  5. Select a cancellation reason from the available options presented as cards in the modal dialog.
    • Common reasons include Customer is not responding, Customer rejected offer, costs, or price, We don't have capacity, or Other.
  6. To dismiss the modal without canceling the job, click Cancel.

Cancel from the Workflow Timeline

  1. Navigate to the specific order you want to cancel.
  2. In the Workflow panel, locate the workflow timeline.
  3. Click the Cancel Order button, typically found at the top or bottom of the timeline, or within an active step's actions.
  4. Select a cancellation reason from the available options presented as cards in the modal dialog.
    • Common reasons include Customer is not responding, Customer rejected offer, costs, or price, We don't have capacity, or Other.
  5. To dismiss the modal without canceling the order, click Cancel. Once an order is cancelled, the cancellation reason and the user who initiated the cancellation will be visible in the workflow timeline for all parties involved, including clients.
