Create a new job for a partner

Last updated: June 1, 2026

You can create new jobs in Installer.com to manage tasks for your customers. While creating a job, you can prepare it for assignment to a partner.

Initiate a new job

You can initiate a new job for a partner in several ways:

  • From the dedicated order creation page: Access the new order creation page to generate webform links, QR codes, or embed codes that partners can use to submit jobs directly.

  • Manually within the platform:

    1. Navigate to Orders in the sidebar to view existing jobs.
    2. Click + Create order in the top bar to begin creating a new job. When creating or editing offer lines for a job, you will now find additional fields: 'Internal Price', 'Payment Source', and 'Installer Payout'. These fields provide more detailed financial control and tracking for your internal operations and are only visible to internal users within your organization. Additionally, when creating a new order, you can now specify a 'Customer Legal ID' and a 'Property Reference'. These fields help in uniquely identifying the customer and the property associated with the order, improving data accuracy and tracking.

Upon creation, all order dispatching and initial routing are now consistently managed within the order creation process. This includes the pre-dispatching of the 'Order Creator' actor, which automatically initiates a chain of actors based on the workflow defined for the order. This ensures that orders are correctly routed and assigned from the outset. For any associated bookings, the system will always assign them to the organization of the user performing the booking.

When entering an address in the address autocomplete field, a real-time indicator will show if the address has coverage for installer availability.

Monitor jobs assigned to partners
