Configure Booking Workflow Steps

Last updated: May 18, 2026

You can configure workflow steps to automate the creation and confirmation of bookings, including installer assignment and tracking booking history.

Configure booking workflow steps

  1. Access your workflow settings to add or edit a workflow.
  2. Add a new step to your workflow and select Booking Create as the step type.
  3. Within the Booking Create step, define rules for installer selection to automatically assign an installer or allow manual selection. You can assign a performer to the booking step. The selection process for performers has been simplified. The option to select a performing organization will now only appear when relevant, for example, when multiple organizations are available to perform the step. The performer is the entity or individual responsible for carrying out the booking. Booking context for workflow steps is now strictly determined by a direct group or dependency to a booking creation step. Steps without such a direct link will no longer infer a booking context.
  4. Add another step and select Booking Confirm as the step type.
  5. The Booking Confirm step allows you to review and finalize booking details, which are now displayed consistently across the platform, with all changes automatically recorded in the booking history. The actor responsible for completing the booking is now explicitly displayed in the step's 'due' badge.

Duplicate workflow steps in injectable groups, previously caused by template versioning, have been resolved and will no longer appear.
