Create a new product

Products are the offerings you put on offer lines. Create one so it is available when you build an offer.

Create a product

Click Products in the sidebar.
Click Create Product.
Enter a Name. It is the only required field in General.
Set the price in Pricing, and answer Should the installer get paid for this item?. That answer is required.
Add a Description, images or attachments in Additional information.
Click Create.

The new product appears in the list on the Products page.

General fields

Field	What it does
Type	Products, Materials, Services, Working Hours or Reservations.
Tags	Categorise the offering and filter on it when searching. Pick an existing tag or type a new one.
Name	Required.
External ID	The identifier this product has in your own system.
Share with installer network	Share the offering with the contractors you work with.
Public	Expose the offering publicly, for example in webforms.

Pricing fields

Field	What it does
Editable	Lets the price and information be changed when an offer is created.
Exclude from payment step	Leaves lines from this product out of the payment step and marks them as paid externally on the offer. Appears only if payments are enabled for your organisation.
Currency, VAT rate	The VAT rate drives the conversion between the incl. and excl. VAT amounts below.
Amount (incl. VAT), Amount (excl. VAT)	Enter either one. The other is calculated.
Discount (incl. VAT), Discount (excl. VAT)	A discount that travels with the product.
Government grant, Work type	Tags the product with a grant so qualifying offer lines can be included in filings. The grant field appears only where grants are configured for your country. A grant that has work types requires you to pick one.
Discount reference	A free-text reference for the type of discount, for analytics. Locked while a grant is selected.
Internal Price (incl. VAT), Internal Price (excl. VAT)	Your reference price. Hidden from customers and installers.
Should the installer get paid for this item?	Required. Yes, pay the installer then asks for Installer’s default share of the price (%), taken from the price before discounts. No payout for this item keeps the full amount.

Additional information fields

Field	What it does
Description	Carries over to the offer line.
Default note	Prefills the note on offer lines made from this product.
Product images	One image.
Attachments	Files stored on the product.

What carries over to an offer line

When you add the product to an offer, the line inherits the product’s amount, discount, VAT rate, currency, internal price, payment source, description, default note, grant and work type. Editable decides whether the price can then be changed on the line.
