Turn AI on and set a spend limit
AI across the platform draws on one balance for your organization. You control it with one switch and one monthly limit, on the AI credits page.
Two chat features also have their own switches, under Intelligence on the Chat Intelligence page: chat summaries and message translation. They stay on unless you turn them off, and they spend from the same balance as everything else.
You need permission to configure your organization to open the page.
Open AI settings
- Open Settings.
- Select AI credits.
The page shows Spent this period, the switch and limit, and a breakdown of where the spend went. If AI credits is not in the settings list, AI is not available for your organization yet.
Turn AI on or off
- Switch AI enabled on or off.
- Select Save.
Turning AI off stops every AI feature, including automations.
Set a monthly spend limit
- Enter a whole amount in Monthly spend limit. Leave it empty for no limit.
- Select Save.
When spend reaches the limit, automation runs that use AI go to Paused instead of failing. Automations whose action is Webhook keep running, because they spend nothing. Other AI features, such as the order parser, stop until the limit clears.
Paused runs resume when a new month starts. Raising or clearing the limit resumes them without waiting. A run left paused for 14 days fails; select Retry on it once the limit allows the spend again.
See where the spend went
Where it went lists spend per feature for the current billing period. Its columns are Feature, Tokens and Spend. The features that report usage are:
- Order parser
- Offer parser
- Automations
- Automation drafting
- Chat analysis
- Chat translation
- Chat triage
- Chat reply drafting
- Chat answer lookup
- Chat answer indexing
- Field validation
If nothing used AI this period, the card reads No AI usage this period.
